Get Ready to Make New Memories in Acadia Maine!
This October, the Keene State Outing Club is heading back to one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in New England—Acadia National Park, Maine. From October 9th–12th, we’ll immerse ourselves in crisp fall air, golden leaves, rugged trails, and dramatic coastlines. With the help of our friends at Acadia Mountain Guides Climbing School, we’ll spend the weekend exploring, climbing, hiking, and sharing in the kind of experiences that stay with you long after the trip is over.
From nights gathered around a campfire to days filled with adventure against the backdrop of crashing waves and blazing autumn colors, this trip is about more than just outdoor recreation—it’s about community, challenge, and the kind of memories that shape our club’s story. Whether it’s rain or shine, mountain summit or sea cliffs, we’ll embrace the unknown together and find beauty in every moment.
Join us for a long weekend of adventure, reflection, and connection in one of the most spectacular places New England has to offer.

🕒 Time Leaving: Early Morning

💵 Cost: $50
We are leaving very early on Friday morning because we cannot leave on Thursday. We are trying to make the most of our time on this trip because of that! Try to arrive at Hoot-n-Scoot 15 minutes early so we can organize gear, pack the vans, and make sure we all have time before we load up and head out!
Packing List:
Clothes for 3 days, according to weather (this means layers and jackets)
Overnight supplies (toothbrush, blankets, pillow, medication, toiletries, etc.)
Shoes for campsite and shoes for hiking (good tread, comfortable)
Climbing gear; harness, climbing shoes, chalk
First aid supplies and survival gear (obviously is just in case, if you have it, bring it!)
Any necessary gear you do not have will be provided by the club, don’t let that hold you back!
Itinerary:

Friday (10/10)
Leaving early in the morning
Arriving in the park before noon
Short hike, Granite museum, Sight seeing
Head back to the Airbnb and do a group dinner
Saturday (10/11)
Leaving Airbnb at 7:00am
Getting to the park around 8:30am
Guided single and multi-pitch rock climbing with Acadia Mountain Guides
Return to Airbnb late around 8:00pm
Group dinner (will have lunch and snacks throughout day)
Sunday (10/12)
Leaving Airbnb at 8:00am
Heading into the park for a hike
Potential hikes include:
Cadillac
Anemone cave
Precipice
Beehive loop
The bubbles
Leaving directly from the park, aiming to get back to Keene around 9:00pm
We are bringing 14 people on this trip and spots are application based!
