Get ready to kick off your college adventure with something unforgettable? Join the Outing Club for a freshman-only camping trip designed just for you.
We’ll spend a night under the stars, surrounded by nature, campfires, and good vibes. This is your chance to step away from campus, meet other freshmen who love the outdoors (or are just curious to try something new), and make connections that will last all four years, with the company of experienced leaders.
Expect campfire cooking, stargazing, games, and plenty of laughs. Whether you’ve camped a hundred times or never even touched a sleeping bag, this trip is beginner-friendly, laid-back, and all about community. We’ll bring the gear and help you learn the ropes—you just bring your sense of adventure.

Lunch and dinner will be provided on Friday, along with breakfast on Saturday. Please bring money for lunch on the way back Saturday afternoon.
Packing list:
Clothes (this means layers, you will be camping, hiking, and outdoors in tents! Check the weather before the trip so you know what to bring!)
Sleeping bag (outing club can provide some!)
Tent (we have these too!)
Sleeping pad (these too!)
Headlamp if you have one, super helpful for finding your way around the campsite at night!
Water bottle!! There will be a place to refill it.
Any personal things you like to have!
